This Sunday...it's party time!

What's up ya'll,
Last night was a blast. We finished up our series called Exposed: The Naked Truth About Sex. We looked at 5 things you can do to make purity possible.
1) Know your standards. Know what you believe and why you believe it.
2) Let your standards be known. Let people know what you believe.
3) Choose wisely. You choose who you like, who you date, and when you start dating.
4) Avoid sexual situations. Don't put yourself in a situation where you're going to be tempted to go further than you want to.
5) Make Christ your most important relationship. Jesus is there for you. Put Him first in your life.

This Sunday, we're going to have alot of fun. Evan and the band is going to be rocking it out. We're going to play some games and just enjoy hanging out. See you this Sunday at 4.

What's been going on

Some awesome things have been going on.

This past Friday, we held our first ever Guitar Hero Tournament. Congratulations to all the winners. You guys ripped it up and impressed us all. We'll have another tournament in the near future.

The Project is going strong. Evan and the band will be back this week to melt your faces. See you then.

New series

We're starting a new series this weekend, both in our Sunday morning service and at The Project. Both deal with a topic that we all encounter daily, but the church tends to ignore it completely. It's sex. Turn on the TV and you'll probably see something sexual within about 15 seconds.

The Sunday morning series is called Satan's Sex Ed. We'll be looking at lies the devil has told us about sex and what God has to say about the subject.

At The Project, we're beginning a series called Exposed: The Naked Truth About Sex. We'll be looking at what the Bible says about sex, what went wrong with God's plan, and what students can do to line up with God's plan.

Guitar Hero Tournament

Are you a video game rock star? Are you like me, lacking any real skill on an actual guitar, but tear it up on a plastic one? If you said yes, you don't want to miss the next Friday Night Freakout. August 17th, we're holding a Guitar Hero 2 tournament at The Warehouse. The contest begins at 7:30. There will be awesome XBOX 360 prizes and other giveaways.

The Warehouse is located off Exit 19 of 575. Turn right and go to the first red light. Take a right onto Brown Industrial Pkwy. Take the 5th right into an office complex. We're in the middle of the building with a ramp. See you there.
